George & Cindy's miaow

Hi there, we are George & Cindy, two rescue cats and also brother and sister, who live with Mark & Jacqui. We are tabbies and about 17 years old. You may see me, George, wandering about the garden especially in the summer! but Cindy will only ever be seen at the window, if at all, as she likes to stay indoors.

One of those dreary days where it's raining - so if I go out I'll get all wet. At least I had my yummy milky bubbles this morning - really creamy milk from the jersey cows down the road in Beckington - I bet they're sitting down today! It's really tasty milk as it's organic and unhomogenised so I get the cream off the top! Time for a snooze now, so I'll see you all soon.

Snow, snow, snow, snow, snow!! There's so much of it, and I really don't like it. I put my nose out of the catflap the other day but it really was too cold, so I went back to the radiator in the office and snuggled up there instead! Cindy's snuggled up on the sofa, maybe I'll have a sit there later on!

It was cold again today, and I went for my usual wander in the garden for 3 minutes!! Nothing to keep me amused - even the birds are keeping out of my way at the moment. Mark and Jacqui are busy preparing for Valentine's weekend and have a few bookings for birthdays and breakfasts this week, that means I won't get so many cuddles! I'll have to wait until next Monday - I might chase Cindy, at least that'll keep me amused for a while.

Rain, rain go away I want to go and sunbathe! Jacqui's been tidying up the garden a little, although it always rains on her days off! Maybe people will be able to sit out there soon, and I can go and see them and have a stroke or tummy tickle! Who knows? One customer even gave me a massage one year!
She's busy knitting things as well, and I get to play with the wool when she's not looking! he! he! he!

I'm not very good at keeping a blog, am I?? and it's raining again. I've been so busy doing nothing that I'm going to spend all day sleeping. The summer's been busy - lot of people in the garden, lots of places to sunbathe in the garden as well, especially the table on Sunday morning! There have been a few butterflies and lots of bees, and quite a few dogs, although I don't go and say hallo to them!! Been able to scrounge a few pieces of salmon as well from the back door! Oh bliss.

New Year - and new ideas??? Mark wants to make more exciting dishes - so his Valentine's menu is great! Daytimes though people like the old favourites - like me!! Enjoying my milk from the farm - look forward to deliveries from Peter. There was a dog in my garden the other day, the owners left him there while they ate - he behaved himself! Looking forward to more sun - although there was a little yesterday and I could sunbathe.....

and is it really summer? there wasn't any sun to sit in the garden today, and annoy the blackbirds - they hate it when I sit out there, and really couldn't care what they do - I just want a sleep!!!!!

Summer holidays have started - hopefully lots of milkshakes to be made - and cream!!!!!!!!

Had to put up with pesky children today who were trying to pull my tail! Oh I hate that and they scream and squeak at me...just leave me in peace , or stroke me carefully but not all the shreiking!!!

It's Saturday night and everyone is eating steak - I CAN SMELL IT!!!!! and I'm hungry, oh well I might get some scraps we'll have to wait and see. We had some lovely B&B guests the other day who came just to see me!! (the EVANS family!) they came and gave me a lot of strokes - I was quite beside myself with delight - and no squeaking children! what a relief.
Had to go and see the vet during the week as I've been dribbling a little - maybe I'm getting old?? I'm only 18 - a mere teenager really - or that's what I like to think!! Oh well, weekend coming up so Jacqui and Cindy and I will get a lay-in in the morning - oh bliss!

Cindy here - I'm feeling very lonely as poor George had to go to the vet's on Sunday as he had a huge mouth tumour which was stopping him eating and drinking - I think it was the a cancer!! So now I'm by myself but I have got Mark & Jacqui to cuddle. Don't think I'll be venturing into the garden though, as I get very scared!!

Cindy here...It was Jacqui's birthday the other day - I gave her a lovely cuddle, on the business front we are moving on...don't know where to! I'm a little scared as I don't like new places .. but Jacqui & Mark will look after me.
